That is what makes this sale so significant. Meaning, it includes all ME1 DLC, all ME2 DLC but one (Arrival) and no ME3 DLC. The reason why I'm telling you all this is because the Mass Effect Trilogy is Mass Effect 1 (PS3) + Mass Effect 2 (PS3) + Mass Effect 3 (PS3) taped together.
Mass effect trilogy ps3 dlc ps3#
Mass Effect 3 was the only ME to release on PS3 at the same time as the Xbox so every Mass Effect 3 PS3 disc came with no DLC (other than what was locked on disc :p). Some said that it sets up ME3 nicely but I doubt it does it well enough to justify $7 (it's not on sale, only ME3 DLC is on sale now) so YouTube for me. After some quick googling, I have learned that it is basically filler and mostly combat/light on story. That DLC is called Mass Effect 2 Arrival. By the time ME1 came to the PS3, all of its DLC was released so EA just included all of it with every Mass Effect 1 PS3 disc.īy the time Mass Effect 2 came to the PS3, all but one of its DLC was released so EA included all but one of ME2's DLCs with every ME2 PS3 disc. ME1 and ME2 were Xbox exclusive for a time. Mass Effect DLC is confusing, especially with how the Mass Effect Trilogy handles it so let me briefly explain: You can get all of the ME3 story DLC for $15 ( normal price is $50).

EA put Mass Effect 3 DLC on sale for the first time in nearly four years. However, this week, the unprecedented happened.

This is the reason that I and many others never bothered with the series and also why I ignore the trilogy whenever it goes on sale.

Mass Effect DLC is notorious for being ridiculously overpriced, for never going on sale and for basically being mandatory to enjoy the series since Bioware locks canon story, choices and characters behind a paywall (and sometimes on disc!).
